Who is the Ajubatus Foundation?

For over 20 years, the Ajubatus Foundation has made strides in conservation, wildlife research, and environmental education initiatives. Most of our operations are centered around Stellenbosch and Kruger National Park, where we: (1) assist in expanding the research on endangered African species (including lions and elephants); (2) showcasing the African bushveld to university students that want to understand the importance of conservation; and (3) growing the permaculture and mortar facilities at schools in the surrounding communities. All in all, we strive to make a positive difference both environmentally and socio-economically that is multi-generational. Click here to learn more About Us.

What does the Ajubatus Foundation do?

Our main priority is to expand our reach in conservation and research programmes at Kruger National Park. Over the years, we have launched and managed a variety of research and outreach projects to make this possible, including ‘Ajubatus Wild4Kids’ and the renowned ‘Lion Project’ that is one of the most extensive lion research studies undertaken to date. In 2017, we also started hosting national and international university students from Stellenbosch University on Kruger Trips, who got to experience the extraordinary wildlife of South Africa and learn about the importance of their preservation. Since then, we have expanded our offerings to include conservation GEP courses at Stellenbosch University, corporate consulting services, purposeful merchandise, and Kruger Trips tailored to any interest group. You can see some of our past projects here.

How can I get involved?

Our main priority is to expand our reach in conservation research and education. No matter where you are, you can make a difference! We manage a variety of conservation projects, which you can donate towards, assist as a volunteer in our research or outreach trips, and/or set us as your main beneficiary on your MySchool card at Woolworths. Whichever method you choose, we truly appreciate all your love and support, and we are excited to have you on board! Click here to find out more about donating and volunteering.

Does the Ajubatus Foundation offer Kruger trips for university students?

The Foundation has finalized a short academic and practical course that is ideal for university students and especially international students spending a semester in South Africa. The course content provides a sound overview of conservation principles and research in action within the magnificent Kruger National Park. The duration of the course is between 7 and 14 days, and the Foundation is able to customize programmes to the group’s needs. Ajubatus has also introduced a specialised course on business communications, conflict resolution, and soft life skills. Both of these courses can be selected as part of the Kruger Tours initiative and are designed as highly interactive programmes. There has never been a more important time to master “soft skills”, or to understand the magnificence of our natural world and the need to preserve our wilderness heritage. Let the Ajubatus Team guide you through programmes that will enhance your business, academic, and personal lives. Please contact us directly for more information, or to discuss your specialist skills requirements.
